Recruitment
Use Synergy's recruitment assistance services to identify suitable persons for positions within your organization. The recruitment process typically follows these steps:
- Meet with your management team to clarify the requirements of the position and culture of your organization. This will help us to assess potential employees to ensure they are capable and culturally compatible.
- Identify suitable candidates. We source prospects from our internal database, professional associations, business contacts and advertisements in print and digital media. All activities will be conducted with your approval.
- Conduct preliminary evaluations of the candidates by screening the résumés and interviewing potential employees before final selection. The evaluation criteria will be determined by consulting with your management team.
- The most promising candidates are short-listed for interview. The short-list will include summaries of the qualifications, experience and education of the potential employees.
- Our HR Consultants work with your directors to develop interview evaluation criteria and specific interview questions to assess the candidate's suitability. Interviewees will then be objectively scored against the relevant criteria to ensure that the best person is selected for the job.
- After approval of the short-list, Synergy will conduct in-depth interviews with the short-listed candidates. Interviews will be face-to-face, online or telephone depending on the location of the respective candidates.
- Conduct detailed reference and background checks on the short-listed candidates and verify their credentials.
- Provide detailed interview findings and background reports on those candidates being recommended for further consideration. A final ranking and copies of résumés and formal qualifications will be provided for each.
- Facilitate your meeting with the candidates to determine ‘right fit' for your organization. After you have made your selection we will inform all unsuccessful applicants of their status.
Development of Job Descriptions
Synergy can develop or amend job descriptions for positions within your organization. These job descriptions would meet the following three conditions for effective employee evaluations:
- They will accurately capture the job requirements (duties and responsibilities), performance standards and other relevant information.
- The information contained in them will have specific meaning to the organization.
- They will be consistent and uniform in the data captured and language used.
Synergy's HR professionals will create a standardised format for all job descriptions in your organization. At a minimum, the format will contain the key functions and duties of each position, the qualifications required, reporting lines and level of authority. Newly developed job descriptions would be submitted for review and sign-off by the relevant members of your team.
